Seroflo Rotacaps (Salmeterol; Fluticasone) is a combination preventive medication for asthma in adult patients. It should be taken regularly to be effective, even in the absence of symptoms. Seroflo alleviates inflammation in the airways, which decreases the frequency of asthma episodes. Salmeterol promotes bronchodilation (expansion of the airways), with effects lasting for an extended period (12 hours), making it beneficial for treating reversible airway obstruction.

 

Seroflo Rotacap is utilized to prevent and manage symptoms of asthma, including dyspnea (shortness of breath) and wheezing. Salmeterol is a long-acting beta antagonist, while Fluticasone is a corticosteroid. Seroflo helps prevent asthma attacks in patients and decreases lung inflammation by releasing chemicals that open constricted air passages.

 

Salmeterol is effective for treating wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness associated with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD; a collection of lung disorders that encompasses chronic bronchitis and emphysema). It is also used to avert bronchospasm (narrowing of airways) and breathlessness during physical activity.

 

Fluticasone is employed to manage symptoms of asthma and allergies affecting the nose, throat, or chest, resulting in issues like a stuffy, runny, or itchy nose, sneezing, and watery, itchy, or red eyes, as well as skin conditions such as itchy rashes (eczema), redness and itching (psoriasis), inflammation (dermatitis), prickly heat, or insect bites in adults, and dermatitis in children.

 

Seroflo Rotacap may lead to side effects including dizziness, pharyngitis, nasal congestion, laryngeal spasms, and unusual dryness in the nose, throat, or mouth.
